Our Lead Pastor

Pastor Ken Schoonover

Ken Schoonover Jr. was raised in a Christian home and began serving the Lord as a young boy. At the age of thirteen he knew God had called him into the ministry and following high school graduation he began preparation to become a pastor entering into studies at Valor Christian College. With his degree in Ministerial Arts, he returned to Westfield, Pa in June of 2002 to begin his pastorate. With a God-given vision placed in his heart and the leadership of the Holy Spirit, his journey began as Senior Pastor of Faith family Ministries.

Going forward as God directed he, and his wife Amanda founded Kids World Daycare & Preschool Center in 2004, which is part of the Faith Family Ministries campus. With a heart for reaching souls, he also founded Harvest Of Hope International, which helps to support the mission field in Central and South America. In 2008 he started a food distribution program and became the founder of The Compassion Center, which is open every month to meet the needs of those in local, and surrounding areas.

Pastor Ken established what is called the Heritage Center, this is affordable housing for local individuals to the area. The Heritage Center is also located on the Faith Family Ministries campus.

Pastor Schoonover is a multi-talented and anointed speaker, teacher, vocalist, and businessman.  Gifted also with skills of carpentry he has personally brought change and beauty to the facilities and campus here at FFM.

Along with the responsibilities that a pastor carries in the day to day operations Pastor Ken has a wife, Amanda that truly is a helpmate and a support to him and his ministry.  Pastor Ken also has 3 beautiful daughters, son in law, and a precious grandson.

Co-Pastor

Pastor Amanda Schoonover

Amanda Schoonover is the wife of Pastor Ken Schoonover Jr. and the Co-Pastor of Faith Family Church. She has a God-given gift and love for children and together with her husband they founded Kids World Daycare and Preschool Center in 2004, which is a state certified Center, STAR 3 rated facility. Amanda is the Director and Head Preschool Teacher at Kids World Daycare and Preschool Center.  She believes that our children are our future and strives to provide a loving, Christ-centered, educational program.

Amanda also enjoys sharing the word of God through preaching! She loves and supports her husband both in ministry and in the home. She is a proud mother of three beautiful daughters, a son in law, and a handsom grandson! She strives to be an example to other young women of what a Godly wife and mother should be. Every day, she is an example of love, courage, strength, commitment, and perseverance. She believes that every woman is a vital part of the family and should strive to be a woman of God by using Proverbs 31 as their guide.

Bishop James & Pastor Joy Marquis

Bishop James W. Marquis is gifted by the Holy Spirit with a unique prophetic anointing to win the lost for Jesus Christ, activate faith in the life of the believer, heal the sick, and bring deliverance to lives that are chained in bondage. Bishop Marquis has served the Lord in the ministry of the gospel for nearly 40 years as a pastor, missionary, and apostle.

Bishop Marquis first began active ministry while enlisted in the United States Navy. During his time in the navy Bishop Marquis pastored a congregation of naval personnel aboard the USS Nassau. It was also during this time he had the opportunity to meet and disciple under Bishop John and Pastor Anne Gimenez at Rock Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia

In January 1984 Bishop Marquis married Joy Stiffler of Jackson, Ohio and upon completion of his naval commitment they returned to his hometown of Wellston, Ohio. After moving back Bishop Marquis accepted and saw great success as youth pastor of his home church of Trinity Church of God. During this time Bishop Marquis also ministered throughout the tristate region of Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia as an evangelist.

1987 brough many changes as Bishop Marquis took over as pastor of the Waverly Church of God in Waverly, Ohio. Following his pastorate of the Waverly Church of God, Bishop Marquis returned to Wellston in 1990 to found Trinity Church of God. In 2004 the church was renamed New Covenant Worship Center.

In 2008 Bishop Marquis founded New Covenant Global Outreach with the goal of reaching the nations for Jesus Christ. In nearly 40 years Bishop Marquis’ ministry has expanded to touch the world ministering to thousands of souls in the United States, Central America, Europe, and Africa.

Bishop James and Pastor Joy Marquis reside in Jackson, Ohio and are joined in ministry and business by their children Rev. Sam and Rebekah Brady, James and Morgan Marquis, and Rev. Andrew and Tiffany Marquis. When not traveling for the ministry, they enjoy spending time with their children and 10 grandchildren.
